Located in the northeastern France (Alsace region), this gorgeous town is very old. It has cobblestone streets that are lined with half-timbered medieval and early Renaissance buildings. There you can find the 13th century Gothic Eglise Saint-Martin church that stands remarkably  on central Place de la Cathédrale. Colmar is on the Alsace Wine Route because the local vineyards are specialized in Riesling and Gewürztraminer wines.
