The news comes from Mercedes and they have just announced the presentation of a luxury yacht, which was presented as a concept from Mercedes, back in the 2012 Monaco Yacht Show. The cool thing about this yacht, besides the fact that it looks amazing, is the fact that only 10 of these will be made! When they first presented this concept, to all of us it looked breathtaking, but it also looked like a project that will always remain a concept. However, the German Automaker proved us all wrong, and thank them for that! Recently Mercedes surprised only a few reporters with an invitation to a presentation of the first fully completed model. The presentation was held in the south of France. This amazing work of engineering and art will be known as the Mercedes-Benz Arrow460-Granturismo. The cool thing about this yacht is that it will be sold only one per country, so if you want to be the only one in your country with a Mercedes yacht, you have to be pretty quick!
This marine traveler is not so big, its 14 meters long, but it pretty powerful thanks to the two twin turbine 480 HP Yanmar diesel engines, which allow this yacht to achieve the speed of over 40 knots.
Since the boat will cost some pretty penny, the manufacturers have made sure that each unit comes out of the factory unique. This will be achieved with an amazing amount of interior customization options that each buyer will have at disposal. Only one thing will be recognizable with all yachts and carry on the Mercedes-Benz Style out onto the water, and that is the Mercedes’ trademark eucalyptus wood paneling and Nubuck leather, which are designed in a way that mimics the interior of many Mercedes-Benz cars.
The yacht will be capable of taking in up to 10 people, and offer a huge amount of interior space. The glazed surround windows will make the atmosphere inside the yacht suitable for even the fanciest of guests. It will also come with a wine cellar, a high-quality audio system , private dressing room, and much more.
The Vice President of Daimler AG’s Design Center, Gorden Wagener said “In developing the new motor yacht, we have transferred our expertise to the marine industry, creating something never seen before in the process. The ‘Silver Arrow of the Seas’ stands for modern luxury, avant-garde style and comfortable elegance.”
You are probably wondering now how much will this sexy and elegant marine beast cost? Well, it certainly won’t be affordable for everyone’s pocket, that’s for sure… The price for the base model of the Mercedes-Benz Arrow460-Granturismo will hit the market with a price tag that says US$1.7 million… And we all know that people who can afford an almost two million dollar yacht don’t buy base models of anything!
Even though the Mercedes’ yacht will not be among the biggest yachts on the water, it will certainly be among the luxurious ones, and definitely among the most rare ones! So, if your pocket is deep enough, we see no reason for you not to be the person with the rarest and most luxurious yacht in all the seven seas.
