The first in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” saga, the “Curse of the Black Pearl” was a movie that had its own budget, and turned out to be an unbelievable success. As we already mentioned, the bigger the money, the bigger the hit, and that is exactly what Disney did with the sequel, the “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest”. They spent much more money than with the previous one, and it payed off big time, because the movie reached $1 billion worldwide at the box office, and it did so faster than any movie before! They brought the same actors for the main roles, added a few new as well, and explained to many who didn’t know, exactly what was the Davy Jones’s locker.
