The legendary movie story about the man from Kriptonyte, (the one that is faster than the speeding bullet, stronger than a running train, capable over jumping over the highest building), yup, you’ve guessed it, Superman, got a remake in 2006. It was released as the “Superman Returns”, and it seems that the new Superman (Brandon Routh), Louis Lane (Kate Bosworth), and the new Lex Luthor (Kevin Spacey), didn’t have enough star power to make this movie a huge hit, and create room for more parts in the franchise. The fans and the critics didn’t like the “SupeRman Returns” that much, so the producers decided to pull the plug and shut down the project. However, 7 years later, the producers once again became interested in the story, and rebooted the franchise, and released the “Man of Steel”. Instead of making a comeback a new Superman, everyone would recognize, they once again hired a new name, Henry Cavill, to play the Man of Steel. It made us think: “Why are they even making the new story if they are going to wreck the movie with the main character again?!”. However, it looks like that they didn’t strike out with Henry, because there were more positive than negative reactions from both the fans and the critics, even though most hardcore Superman franchise fans were not as happy as with the “Superman II” and that version of General Zod. But, two things are sure, the “Man of Steel” is a much better title than, for example, “Superman IV: The Quest for Peace”, and the next part of the franchise, which is expected at the end of this year, will definitely be one of the most awaited movies in the last 10 years, and it also has a pretty cool title – “Batman vs Superman”.
